Candy is our chocolate girl out of Toots and Brody (Liberty's Broad Ridge). She has the lovely temperament of a Labrador and is thrilled to meet everyone we encounter. From an early age she showed innate retriever ability and has been bringing us any dead bird she finds, be it the seagull at the beach or the pigeon in our yard! In 2011 we began working on hunt training. Candy loves the 'hunt' and on October 7, 2012 she passed all the requirements to acquire a Working Certificate. Because of her love for the sport, we have continued training and in 2014 Candy passed three tests toward her Junior Hunter title. On August 16, 2015 Candy passed her last test and became a Junior Hunter! We am so proud of her, she did a tremendous job and earned her title with joy and skill. It was a fabulous accomplishment for us all.

In October 2009 Candy began her Obedience career by earning her first leg in Rally Novice. In April 2010 she earned her Rally Novice Title with a placement of fourth. In November, at the young age of 11 months, Candy passed the CGC requirements to become a Canine Good Citizen. Candy continues her success in the Obedience ring and in 2012 achieved her Companion Dog (CD) title and her Rally Excellent (RE) title. Candy has taken breaks from the show ring to attend to her litters. She is always excited to get back to showing.

Candy has had several litters of healthy, beautiful chocolate pups. These pups are all happily enjoying their new forever families. We are receiving very positive feedback on their temperaments and training. Candy is proving to be a lovely producer of healthy, well tempered and intelligent puppies.

In 2013 Candy completed the requirements to be a Therapy Dog. We are excited about taking Candy out to local facilities to bring her joy to others.

October of 2015 Candy had her final litter. Rollie is the pup we kept from that litter to continue the line. Candy enjoyed her retired life at Wilann Labradors.
